Light itself enamors me, from the glare of the evening sun to the glow of sodium streetlights, the more I pay attention to the light around me, the more intimate it becomes. Light; something so ubiquitous in life and art, literally the essence of sight itself, so rarely is the focus of art, and rarer still its use as pigment. Lighting design in all its forms never ceases to capture me, and in my pursuits as a designer, I'm more often than not; forced to reel myself back from bold and experimental choices, constantly looking to stun audiences with its power, variety, and magic.
My journey into the world of technical theater began like so many others with mentorship, a gift I hope to pay forward in my career. I hope to make the journey of discovery and understanding more accessible.
