Alice by Heart was a really interesting production from my perspective. I was recruited late and the first time i got to see any of the show or the venue was cue-to-cue, though I had come with a plan and cues I did not know that it was an in the round stage, which made things even more interesting. I spent the 2 day cue-to-cue hanging and focusing while at home programming as much as I could.
In the end, as stressful as the experience was, it is a design I am immensely proud of. I got to experiment with color mixing, extreme angles, and dynamic effects
In a way the rushed nature of the production lended itself to the design of this surreal and absurd musical.
